Safety
Safe care and private data, by design.
When a doctor refers a patient, they are trusting us with someone in their care. This is how we honour that trust: clinically, and with every piece of data a patient shares.
Clinical safety
A doctor is always in the loop.
- No medical advice
- Swastham provides the technology. Diagnosis and medicines remain with licensed doctors.
- AI guardrails
- AI may answer general questions about the programme and help coaches. It never diagnoses, and never changes or suggests a prescription.
- Escalation rules
- Red-flag symptoms reach the care team under rules the programme's doctors define in advance.
- Screening
- Every patient is checked against the programme's eligibility criteria before they begin. A doctor decides on anyone flagged.
Who does what
Clear roles, so nothing clinical falls through the cracks.
| Who | Responsible for | Never does |
|---|---|---|
| Patient | Following the daily plan, logging meals and activity, reporting symptoms | Changing medicines without a doctor |
| Coach | Daily check-ins, meal reviews, motivation, escalating concerns | Advising on medicines or dosage |
| Doctor | Approving enrolment, diagnosis, medicines, reviewing red flags | — |
| Programme owner | The method, clinical rules, content and brand | — |
| AI assistant | Answering general programme questions, assisting coaches | Changing or suggesting a prescription |
| Swastham | The app, dashboards, hosting, security and support | Giving medical advice or rewriting the method |
Data protection
Patient data, handled with consent and care.
- Consent
- Patients give their consent when they sign up, and can withdraw it at any time.
- Never sold
- Patient data is never sold, and never used to market anything to patients.
- Portability
- When a partnership ends, the programme can export its patient history.
- This website
- No cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers. We ask partners not to send patient information through the site, and the Privacy Policy sets out everything else.
Next step
Start with a twenty-minute conversation.
Tell us about your patients or your programme. We'll listen, show you the app, and tell you candidly whether Swastham is right for you.
No obligation, and no sales pitch.
